HPLC Potency Testing: Sample Preparation and Analysis
Detailed view of what is methods and instruments are required to perform a full analysis of the potency of marijuana/cannabis.

With the rise of legalization of cannabis in many states, cannabis testing has become integral to ensuring the safety and efficacy of cannabis products. One of the most important tests is potency testing. This test is to determine the concentration of cannabinoids in the cannabis product. These compounds are responsible for the psychoactive and medicinal benefits of cannabis. The most important active compounds are THC and CBD. These exist in their acid forms before being decarboxylated by heat and light which is why both forms need to be taken into account to determine potency.
