Buchi B-480 Heating Bath
The Buchi B-480 Heating Bath is used in vacuumed solvent
evaporation. It primarily conducts evaporation in heat conditions controlled by
the flask size, bath temperature, speed of rotation and pressure of
distillation. It’s light in weight, making It portable and easy to operate,
with the dimensions (L x H x W) of 32 x 23 x 31 cm and water bath dimensions of
28 x 12 cm, holding 5L. The Buchi B-480 Water Bath heats up quickly, with the
ability for the operator to adjust the heat from +20°C to 100°C. It is simple
but efficient in performance.

- Verify that all buttons, knobs, and switches are functioning properly, providing precise and responsive control across all settings
- Conduct a thorough inspection of the water reservoir for any holes, rust, or other structural damage that may impact its integrity
- Fill the reservoir with water, checking closely for any external or internal leaks that could affect performance
- Examine the lid for any signs of wear or damage, replacing hinges and handles if necessary to ensure a secure and proper seal
- Inspect for any internal leaks originating from the water reservoir, confirming the unit’s internal plumbing integrity
- Conduct a comprehensive inspection of internal wiring for any breakages, tears, or wear; replace any underperforming or damaged components to maintain safe operation
- Examine internal insulation for signs of burns, breaks, or deterioration, replacing as needed to ensure thermal efficiency and safety
- Confirm that all feet are intact and that the bath sits level and balanced on a flat surface to prevent movement or instability
- Calibrate both temperature accuracy and uniformity using a NIST-traceable temperature probe, verifying compliance with specification standards
- Perform a detailed cosmetic inspection to confirm that all external surfaces and finishes meet aesthetic and quality standards
