The Eppendorf BioSpectrometer Basic Model #6135 is a small, very compact spectrophotometer that combines easy handling with highly reproducible analysis. It can measure and record UV/Vis spectral ranges as well as measure individual wavelengths from 200 nm to 830 nm. Its freely selectable wavelengths provide maximum flexibility for all current and future applications. In addition to preprogrammed methods for standard measurements, users can create and store their own methods. Optimized menu navigation guides through the individual methods in a step-by-step process. All required entries are visible, no essential data is omitted. A help box explains the operational sequences and is available in 5 different languages.

The Eppendorf BioSpectrometer Basic Model #6135 facilitates absorbance measurements at one or multiple wavelengths, offering the capability to record wavelength scans ranging from 200 nm to 830 nm with 1 nm increments. It automatically evaluates and stores measurement data while presenting results clearly, including spectral graphs for sample purity assessment with automatic ratio calculations. The device offers preprogrammed applications for swift initiation or the flexibility to create custom applications, enabling evaluation through factors, standards, or standard series, all with freely programmable parameters. Additionally, it supports a two-wavelength method with subtraction or division for analysis. Data can be conveniently transferred via USB, Ethernet, or email, with direct result printing. The software incorporates guided processes to minimize errors and includes an integrated self-test and calibration history tracking for enhanced reliability.

Applications include: Nucleic acid quantification, Direct protein quantification (UV 280 nm), Microvolume measurement via µCuvette G1.0 for highly concentrated samples, Bacteria growth measurement (OD 600), Colorimetric assays for protein quantification, e.g., BCA, Bradford, Lowry, Evaluation of FOI for dye-labeled biomolecules (nucleic acid or proteins), Free selectable wavelengths, and more.
