The Applied Biosystems 7500 Fast Dx Real-Time PCR System, FDA-cleared for In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) use, delivers reliable, high-throughput detection of nucleic acid targets with five-color fluorescence capability. This system, built on over ten years of real-time PCR innovation, is tailored for high-throughput environments requiring both speed and accuracy. It features a unique 96-well Fast block that accommodates reaction volumes from 10 to 30 uL, but is optimized for 10 uL, ensuring consistent thermal uniformity across all samples.

The system's rapid ramp rates accelerate the processing times to deliver results in less than 40 minutes without compromising the extension times or the quality of the assay. This efficiency is matched by the system’s robust temperature controls, maintaining a uniformity of ± 1°C and an accuracy of ± 0.5°C, which are crucial for precise thermal cycling. Additionally, the optical system uses a CCD camera coupled with a halogen lamp for excitation, along with five excitation and emission filters, enabling sensitive multiplex detection of up to five targets per well.

With a dynamic range extending over nine logs, the 7500 Fast Dx can detect as little as one copy of a template in a 20 uL reaction with 99.7% confidence.
