The Agilent 1260 Infinity II HPLC G7162A RID Detector (Refractive Index Detector) is expertly designed for the precise and reliable analysis of non-UV absorbing substances, making it ideal for carbohydrates, lipids, and polymers. This detector is also perfectly suited for specialized applications like gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and size exclusion chromatography (SEC), offering a refractive index range of 1.00 to 1.75 RIU. With its high sensitivity and robust detection capabilities, the 1260 Infinity II RID achieves an outstanding reproducibility rate of only 0.1% RSD.
Key features include precise temperature control, ranging from Ambient +5°C to 55°C, which minimizes baseline drift and optimizes response rates for various compounds. The detector's automatic light level adjustment not only compensates for lamp degradation but also reduces maintenance needs by regulating flow cell staining. It includes an integrated solvent recycle valve which supports solvent recycling between runs, enhancing operational efficiency.
For ease of maintenance and operation, the 1260 Infinity II RID features convenient front access to flow connections and valves, automatic baseline zeroing, and programmable cell purging. The detector also provides Early Maintenance Feedback (EMF) for timely maintenance notifications and a continuous tracking system for reference flow cell purging with user-settable limits. Troubleshooting is facilitated through integrated diagnostic tools and an automatic offset adjustment feature that simplifies the detection and quantification of negative peaks and allows for the easy inversion of peaks.
All of our equipment is fully tested to perform at factory specifications before being shipped.
